Frequently Asked Questions

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a structured, goal-focused process that helps clients clarify goals, improve habits, strengthen communication, and develop practical action steps. It is future-focused and skills-based. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, or crisis intervention.

What happens in a coaching session?

A coaching session typically includes listening to the client’s concern, clarifying goals, identifying obstacles, exploring practical options, selecting action steps, and planning follow-up. Sessions are designed to be respectful, confidential, and practical.

Do you accept health insurance?

Unfortunately, I do not accept health insurance, but you may pay for my services in cash, by check, or via Zelle.

Is coaching confidential?

Coaching conversations are treated with respect and privacy, subject to legal and safety limits. Confidentiality does not apply when there is danger, abuse, neglect, threats of harm, legal requirements, or other circumstances in which reporting or seeking outside help may be necessary.

Can I cancel my appointment?

Cancellations for appointments are not accepted if made less than 48 hours before the appointment, during our business hours, and not due to emergencies. Failure to do so will result in the session fee being non-refundable, and a new appointment will need to be scheduled.

What about your No Show policy?

If you miss your appointment without notifying the office, the regular scheduled appointments will be given to someone else, and any remaining appointments will be canceled. Please schedule and pay for a new appointment.

Please call if an illness or emergency prevents you from making your appointment. This is an exception to the 24-hour notice.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

To effectively manage appointments and ensure all clients receive the care they require, we have certain policies in place. If you need to reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide us with a 24-hour notice from the time the appointment is booked during our business hours. Failure to do so will result in the session fee being non-refundable, and a new appointment will need to be scheduled.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, it will be considered a no-show and you will need to schedule and pay for a new appointment. I implement these policies in order to ensure that all of our clients have access to the care they need, as reserving a session time means that it cannot be utilized by someone else who may be on a waiting list.

What about court appearances & letters?

Please note that the Coach does not provide court appearances or letters for legal cases, disability, companion pets, or work-related issues.
